MCiS leads Military Health System in the global delivery of flexible and efficient cyberinfrastructure services with the support of Oberon's in-building structured cabling and wireless voice and data network infrastructure products.

 

As of May 2011, Oberon, Inc., State College PA, has continuously supplied wireless infrastructure components for the Military Health System Cyber-infrastructure Service (MCiS), and its predecessors, for 5 years. Beginning in 2006, the company began supplying the Military Health System (MHS) with telecommunications enclosures for wireless access points. Oberon's products are used to provide a standardized installation component for wireless local area networks, which are being deployed across Military Health System hospitals worldwide.
 
MCiS leads the Military Health System in the global delivery of flexible and efficient cyberinfrastructure services by identifying and implementing proven advances in technology. MCiS evaluates, delivers and manages the network layer and all computing infrastructure support services for the MHS.
 
MCiS supports all U.S. military personnel worldwide, including:

  • 59 hospitals and 364 health clinics
  • 9.6 million beneficiaries worldwide, including active duty service members, retirees, and family members
