Enclosures Provide Secure, Convenient, Aesthetic Mounting Solutions for Wireless Access Points
Oberon, Inc., a leading designer of wireless access point and telecommunications enclosures, has announced a new addition to its popular line of suspended ceiling mounting solutions.
Oberon’s Model 1057-00 suspended ceiling enclosure provides a secure, aesthetic, convenient mounting solution for wireless access points and DAS remote units from most vendors. The enclosure has a low profile, impact-resistant ABS dome so wireless access points with integrated or non-detachable antennas can be secured in otherwise unsecured spaces. The product is UL Listed and designed to satisfy National Electric Code (NEC) paragraphs 300-22 and 300-23 for installation in the air handling space. Locks are “keyed-alike” to simplify moves, adds, and changes.
Physical security of network equipment is important to any business, and a requirement in many. Because Oberon enclosures provide locking doors, a secure mount, and attach directly to the building structure, they can help network designers meet requirements set by government and retail industries. In healthcare facilities, where infection control is a major consideration, Oberon’s products provide the ability to complete moves, adds, and changes from within the back-box by opening a door panel, completely avoiding disruption of the air-handling (plenum) space and greatly simplifying maintenance procedures.
Enclosures feature strong ABS plastics that are also virtually invisible to RF signals, making them Ideal for Wireless NetworksTM. The mounting orientation of the access points within the enclosure helps to ensure ideal radiation patterns and wireless coverage.
